The Montevideo boys and girls track teams had a very busy week, competing in invitationals at Worthington Thursday and Ortonville Friday and hosting the Monte Relays Monday.


The Montevideo boys and girls track teams had a very busy week, competing in invitationals at Worthington Thursday and Ortonville Friday and hosting the Monte Relays Monday.

The Montevideo boys were fourth at Worthington and the girls fifth. Several Montevideo athletes missed the meet due to a choir concert.

Chase Testa won the pole vault and Travis Anderson placed fourth in the 1,600.

MaKena Hofer won the 3,200 and Beka Schwend­emann was third in the triple jump to lead the Montevideo girls.

Athletes who didn’t go to the Worthington meet competed at Ortonville Friday. The Montevideo boys were second and the girls third in the team standings.

Jordan Janisch was the boys 110 hurdles champion. The girls got wins from Kendra Kibble in the pole vault and Alex Bosch in the high jump.

The Montevideo boys finished second to Lac qui Parle Valley/Dawson-Boyd in the Monte Relays
