Defending champion Worth­ington edged Mon­te­video 4-3 in the semifinals of the Section 3A tennis tournament Tuesday at Redwood Falls.


Defending champion Worth­ington edged Mon­te­video 4-3 in the semifinals of the Section 3A tennis tournament Tuesday at Redwood Falls.

Worthington needed three sets to win two of the doubles matches. Monte­video got singles wins from Charlie Landmark, Dakota Frazier and Alex Thompson.

Montevideo beat Pipe­stone Area 7-0 to end the regular season, and the T-Hawks topped MACCRAY 6-1 in the opening round of section play. The T-Hawks finished the season with an 8-5 record.
