The Montevideo tennis team split its final two matches of the regular season, edging Lac qui?Parle Valley/Dawson-Boyd 4-3 here Friday and losing 7-0 to a good Class AA Hutch­inson team here Tuesday.

Montevideo got singles wins from Jennessa Runia and Catherine Haugen against LqPV/DB. Winning their doubles matches were Tori Jarman and Sierra Frazier at first doubles and Chelsie McCormick and Rose Reinert at No. 3 doubles.

Hutchinson won all seven matches in straight sets against the Thunder Hawks in Tuesday’s non-conference match.

The Thunder Hawks will compete in the West Central Conference South singles and doubles tournament Saturday at 9 a.m. at Minnewaska.
