After losing a match for the West Central Confer­ence South lead to Lac qui Parle Valley/Dawson-Boyd, the Montevideo tennis team rebounded to beat Mor­ris/Chokio-Alberta for the second time this season.

Lac qui Parle Val­ley/Dawson-Boyd took over sole possession of first place in the West Central Confer­ence South standings by sweeping the Thunder Hawks Thursday at Lac qui Parle Valley.

German exchange student Patricia Ott, at No. 1 singles, and Kelle Thompson, at No. 2 singles, kept their unbeaten records intact. Ott has not lost a set this season.

The T-Hawks won just one set — by the No. 2 doubles team of Lyndsey Moe and Jessa Kack, who lost in a third-set tiebreaker.

The T-Hawks topped Morris/Chokio-Alberta 5-2 Monday at Morris to run their record to 10-6.

Montevideo got singles wins from Catherine Hau­gen and Avery Koosmann.

Winning their doubles matches were the duos of Chelsie McCormick and Rose Reinert, Jessa Kack and Lyndsey Moe, and Paige Jorgenson and Tina Lipinski.

Montevideo will host Benson/KMS Friday. They will compete in a triangular at Lac qui Parle Valley Saturday, and they play at YME Tuesday.
