Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City remained unbeaten in West Central Conference South matches by sweeping the Thunder Hawks here Thursday.

The T-Hawks battled hard in the first set, rallying from a 10-3 deficit to pull within 11-10, and getting within 21-20 before the Falcons prevailed.

Dani Emkes had five kills and Kendyl Anderson four for the T-Hawks. Kayla Aanerud made 20 digs from her libero position.

The Thunder Hawks finished seventh in their eight-team invitational Sat­urday. Lakeview defeated Glencoe-Silver Lake in the championship match.

In pool play, the T-Hawks were defeated by Central Minnesota Christ­ian of Prinsburg 22-25, 25-16; by Wabasso 25-19, 25-17; and by Glencoe-Silver Lake 25-13, 25-15.

In the seventh-place match, the T-Hawks downed Paynesville 25-15, 25-15.

Individual leaders for Montevideo in the tournament were Kayla Aanerud, with six ace serves and 45 digs; Kelsey Amborn, with 22 assists; Dani Emkes, with 12 kills; and Kendyl Anderson, with six ace blocks.
