It was a rough week for the Montevideo girls tennis team, as the Thunder Hawks lost matches to Benson, Lac qui Parle Valley/Dawson-Boyd, River Valley and Yellow Medicine East to drop their record to 10-10.

Both Benson/KMS and YME?reversed previous losses to Montevideo, with Benson/ beating the T-Hawks 5-2 here Friday and YME edging Montevideo 4-3 Tuesday at Granite Falls.

The Thunder Hawks lost 5-0 to LqPVDB in an all-doubles match Saturday at LqPV. The T-Hawks lost 4-3 to River Valley later in the day.

Catherine Haugen and Sierra Frazier had a pair of wins for Montevideo in their four matches.

After closing out the regular season with a home match against Lac qui Parle Valley/Dawson-Boyd today (Thursday), Montevideo will host the West Central Conference South individual tournament Saturday, starting at 9 a.m. The Section 3A team tournament begins Monday. Seedings had not been determined when the American-News went to press.
