Thanks to the giving spirit of the Prairie’s Edge Casino Resort, casino guests and the Upper Sioux Community, more than 100 children and scores of families had a reason to smile this Christmas season. Leading up to the Christmas holiday, the casino, guests and the USC made donations that translated into a sizable number of items, providing joy for many children. Prairie’s Edge also took it a step further, donating 50 hams and 25 turkeys to area food shelves. Both the gifts and food were split between Yellow Medicine and Chippewa County Family Services and food shelves. Pictured (left to right) are Barry Joannides, Linda Bukowski, Yellow Medicine County, Patricia Birkman, Barbara Anderson, Eric Preuss, Janice Johnson, Chippewa County, Peggy Schindler and Theresa Villebrun.
