The racing season at Fiesta City Speedway is right around the corner, with opening night scheduled for Friday, May 11.
Test and Tune night, to give the drivers, pit crew members and track officials an opportunity to test their equipment, will be held this Friday at 6 p.m. Gates will open at 5 p.m. and there is no admission charge for fans.
Races will be held every Friday evening from May 11 through Aug. 24. Practice laps will begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by heat races at 7 p.m.
A?new event this year will be the Big Mod Special on Aug. 10.
The Minnesota Corn Growers will be providing free admission for fans to the Midwest Modified Special on July 27.
The same six classes of cars will again be featured: Pure Stock and WISSOTA-sanctioned Street Stock, Mod IV, Midwest Modified, Super Stock and Late Model. The vintage race cars will make their annual appearance July 6.
Ticket prices are $10 for adults, $9 for seniors and $5 for ages 6-12. Children under 5 are admitted free. For season ticket information call (320) 226-3661.
