  • The Montevideo softball team ended a busy week with a wild 16-11 road win over BOLD on Tuesday.

  • The Montevideo softball team ended a busy week with a wild 16-11 road win over BOLD on Tuesday.
    The Thunder Hawks will host Lac qui Parle Valley today (Thursday) and they travel to ACGC on Friday. The T-Hawks will play two games in Lac qui Parle Valley’s tournament on Saturday, and they close out another busy week with a home game against Ben­son/Hancock on Tuesday.

    Hawks 8-0 here last Wednesday.
    Singles by Dani Emkes and Hannah Kuno were the only hits for Montevideo.

    The Thunder Hawks outhit the Sting 12-4, but Yellow Medicine East edged Montevideo 5-4 on Thursday at Granite Falls.
    Chelsea Larson and Jessie Janisch had three hits each and Dani Emkes had a pair of hits for Montevideo.

    The T-Hawks rallied for seven runs in the fifth inning to tie Monday’s home game with ACGC only to see the Falcons win it with a run in the top of the sixth.
    Ashley Hoehne had two hits in Montevideo’s seven-run inning. Jessie Janisch, Chelsea Larson and Kelsey Olson also had two hits each.

    The Thunder Hawks defeated BOLD for the second time this season, getting nine hits and capitalizing on 15 walks in a 16-11 road win on Tuesday.
    Dani Emkes went 3-for-4 with two RBI, Ashley Hoehne had a triple and four RBI, and Kelsey Quigley had a solo homer.
