Your generosity makes us proud
The fantastic turnout at the Dad’s Belgian Waffle Feed benefiting the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation at the TACC Monday (May 14) evening quite simply defines our community. We sincerely appreciate your overwhelming support.
There are many people to thank: Dad’s Belgian Waffles, the TACC personnel who were so helpful with the facility, WalMart, who helped us purchase juice, our family and friends who helped serve. We truly could not have had such a successful event without each and every one.
Most importantly though, we want to thank the community for taking the time to come out and eat a waffle on a beautiful, busy Monday night.
Your generosity, again, defines our community; it humbles us, and it makes us proud to live here. Many, many thanks.

Relay For Life raised $39,000
The 2012 American Cancer Society Relay For Life event was held Friday, May 11, and Saturday, May 12, in Smith Park, Montevideo.
This year, 15 teams took part. At dusk, 1,294 luminaries were lit to honor survivors and to remember those who have lost their battle with this disease.
An enormous thank you to all who donated to the 2012 Relay For Life event. As of this date, over $39,000.00 has been raised in Chippewa County. We continue to work toward our 2012 goal of $46,897. Our “Relay year” ends Aug. 31 and donations can still be made for 2012 up to that date.
These generous donations bring needed funds for The American Cancer Society’s research, treatment, and services for cancer patients. Relay For Life also brings much-needed awareness of the importance to keep funding this vital organization.
