Legion wins in seventh inning

The Montevideo Legion baseball team overcame a 5-1 deficit to edge Sacred Heart/MACCRAY here on Monday.

Kyle TeBeest’s RBI triple tied the game in the seventh and Joe Bednar knocked in TeBeest with the winning run with a sacrifice fly.

Doubles by Colton Vien and Tanner Lindemann tied the game in the sixth inning.

Vien went the distance to pick up the win.

Litchfield edged Post 59 7-6 on Tuesday at Litchfield.

Montevideo will host Dawson today (Thursday) before leaving for a tournament in Omaha, Neb., June 18 to 20.
