St. Agnes ended Lac qui Parle Valley’s late-season run by beating the Eagles 6-0 in the state Class A baseball championship game at Target Field in Minneapolis Monday.
The loss snapped an eight-game winning streak for the Eagles, who finished with an 18-10 record.
Jack Fossand pitched a four-hitter for St Agnes. Getting hits for Lac qui Parle Valley were Sam Haas, Jared Roiland, Ben Morken and Brandon Hill.
The Eagles advanced to the title game by beating Ely 2-1 and Browerville 4-1.
Named to the all-tournament team were Brandon Bornhorst, Ben Morken, Colby Siegert and Brandon Hill.
