Mitch Christensen pitched 4 2/3 strong innings, giving up just two hits and one run, which was unearned. Chuck Vien pitched 3 1/3 innings to get the win, with Cam Vien coming on in the ninth to pick up a save.
Todd Bergeson and Christensen had two hits each. Bergeson and Christian Brabender both drove in a pair of runs.
On Saturday, the Spartans lost 8-3 at Appleton.
The Spartans outhit the A’s 12-8, with Christensen going 4-for-5 and Spencer Jorgenson getting a pair of hits.
The Spartans’ next game is Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Morris.
