  • It was another action– packed night on Friday at Fiesta City Speedway.
Jason Lowry took the lead to start the Pure Stock feature. After a caution three laps into the race, Jeremy Grinager became the new race leader. Jon Tollakson took the lead from Grinager on lap five.  Near the midway point of the race, Nathan Ruka spun on the back straightaway and his car landed on its side. After Ruka got out of his car, it started on fire which brought out the red flag. Henry Hacker’s car, which was also involved  in the wreck, also caught fire.  After about an hour delay getting the fire put out and getting the race ready, the race continued. Tollakson led the rest of the way for his third straight feature win.
Dustin Zieske held off Tyler Larson to win his first WISSOTA Mod IV feature of the season.
Bruce Lundin took the lead from the pole position to start the WISSOTA Street Stock feature. Jacob Knapper took the lead from Lundin four laps into the race. Ben Albertson took the lead on lap 6 and held off both Brandon Jacobson and Mike Jans for his first win of the season.
Travis Berends battled side by side with Jay Hedtke for the lead in the opening laps of the WISSOTA Super Stock feature.  Berends would take the lead on lap three and went on to get his first Super Stock feature win at Fiesta City Speedway.
Jordan Tollakson took the lead to start the WISSOTA Midwest Modified feature. After four straight cautions on lap six, Tim Ims took the lead on the restart and went on to win his second feature of the year.
Dustin Virkus led the WISSOTA Late Model feature flag to flag for his first win of the year.
Next week are Mid-season Championship and Photo/Autograph Night.  Races will be sponsored by Piotter Construction and Quigley & Sons Masonry. Race time is 7 p.m.
