Playing on their home course in sweltering heat on Monday, the Montevideo team won the annual Gold Cup golf competition.
Montevideo had a team score of 556, counting the best six scores on the team. Redwood Valley was second with 583, followed by Granite Falls with 617 and Marshall with 619.
Carol Mulder, of Montevideo, was individual medalist with an 81, as Montevideo won the traveling trophy for the first time since 1995.
The Gold Cup competition has been held continuously since 1952.
