Fiesta royalty hosting car wash

Fiesta Ambassadors Jennessa Runia and Samantha Van- Binsbergen will be hosting a car wash and hot dog feed as a fundraiser on Thursday, Aug. 9, from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Bill’s Supermarket. Proceeds will go for breast cancer research.

Chippewa County Fair starts today  

The 132nd annual Chippewa County Fair will be held Thursday through Saturday at the fairgrounds in Monte­video.

Grandstand entertainment will feature the Johnny Holm Band on Thursday, Fiesta City Speedway racing on Friday, and the Snowdrifters Demo­lition Derby on Saturday.

Daily admission to the fair is $5 for adults. Children under 12 are admitted free of charge.
