The City of Montevideo has released a reminder, asking homeowners to keep in mind the city's sign ordinance during the election season. The ordinance does not allow the placement of signs, including campaign signs, in the public right-of-ways or any other public areas. Campaign signs are allowed in private property.

Any questions or concerns about the placement of a political sign can be directed to City Manager Steve Jones or Community Development Director Angie Steinbach at city hall, by calling (320) 269-0936.
