West Nile virus cases confirmed
Several cases of West Nile virus have been confirmed by laboratory testing at Chippewa County-Montevideo Hospital.
All of the patients who tested positive for the disease have been released.
Only 9 percent voted in primary
Minnesota Secretary of State Mark Ritchie announced that voter turnout in the Aug. 14 state primary election is estimated at 9 percent of eligible voters.
"I want to express my gratitude and praise to the thousands of local election officials and poll workers for the smooth implementation of the first statewide election since redistricting," said Ritchie.
