The Thunder Hawks had three match points but couldn't put away the Falcons in a five-set marathon here last Thursday.
Kills by Kelsey Olson, Tori Kuhlmann and Natalie Feldhake gave the Thunder Hawks a 30-28 win in the first set.
After the Falcons rallied from a 14-8 deficit to take the second game, Montevideo staged a rally of its own from a 14-8 deficit in the third set. Nettie Duvall's kill gave Montevideo a 25-24 lead and the T-Hawks took the set on a Falcons' hitting error.
Ashley Hoehne's kill gave Montevideo a 24-22 lead in the fourth set, but two Montevideo errors enabled the Falcons to tie the score. ACGC pulled out the set 26-24 on Syndey Larson's kill.
Kuhlmann's kill put Montevideo ahead 14-3 in the final set, but ACGC dodged another match point and went on to take the set and the match.
Hoehne had a big night for Montevideo with a career-high 24 kills.
