I thought it'd be a good idea to let everyone know what's going on with our website right now, and the rest of our online initiatives, as there have been a number of changes.
We currently are well under way with our new format and, for the most part, the bugs seem to have been worked out. The only big thing we're still waiting on is the blog section, which we hope to see return soon with two new bloggers, so keep an eye out.
We will also have a few more new videos going up than normal, as we get videos from last week's candidate up one at a time. While you're there, check out some Meander photos!
Those who use Facebook are probably aware we've been experimenting with giving different kinds of content or extras, such as the front page of the paper (though a bit smaller) as well as an early look at a photo or two we're excited to share a little early.
Recently, we started trying out Twitter. It seems a little strange for a small paper like ours, but it does provide an alternative source to find links we think are worth sharing from our website, and sometimes other news sources. Our handle is Monte American-News (or @MontevideoNews).
While this isn't an online item, I think it's worth mentioning that the voters guide will be published on Nov. 1.
