  • Montevideo's cross country teams were in top form at the West Central Conference meet at Paynesville Tuesday.
The Montevideo boys put on a dominating performance to easily defend their conference title on the demanding, hilly Koronis Hills Golf Course.
Six Montevideo boys finished in the top 11. Earning all-conference honors were Ryan Maroney, Zac Enevoldsen, Tristan Weber, Joe Varpness and Kurt TeBeest.
The Montevideo girls also had an excellent meet, finishing second. Winning all-conference medals were Claire Sulflow, Addie Reinert and Jaden Wamstad.
"It was a good day to be a Thunder Hawk," said Montevideo coach Jamie Harrington. "Now we buckle down and get focused on the section meet a week from Thursday (at Adrian)."
