Recent closely-contested elections in Minnesota for senator and governor have shown that your one vote can, indeed, mean something.
Many close races are anticipated, from the run for the White House on down to county and city elections.
Chippewa County and the city of Montevideo have a number of contested races.
Incumbent Mayor Debra Lee Fader is being opposed by former Mayor Jim Curtiss.
Three of the four Chippewa County Commissioner seats have two-way races. In District 1, Matt Gilbertson and Galen Rud are vying for the seat formerly held by Ken Koenen. Incumbent Jeffrey Lopez is being challenged by Jonathan Frikke in District 2. Incumbent Dennis Anderson and David Nordaune are on the ballot in District 3. Jim Dahlvang is unopposed in District 4.
