  • The Minnesota Department of Transportation advises no unnecessary travel in southwestern and west central Minnesota, due to heavy snow and high winds.

  • The Minnesota Department of Transportation advises no unnecessary travel in southwestern and west central Minnesota, due to heavy snow and slippery roads.
     
    MnDOT snow plow operators are having difficulty keeping up with the conditions.
     
    According to MnDOT:
    • Between US 212 (Montevideo) and MN 40 (12 miles south of the Benson area), driving conditions are difficult. The road is slippery.
    • Between Lac qui Parle County Road 2 and US 212 (4 miles north of the Boyd area), driving conditions are difficult. The road is slippery.
    • Between the start of US 212 (18 miles west of the Dawson area) and Renville County Road 21 (near Renville), driving conditions are difficult. The road is slippery.
