Montevideo will travel to Sauk Centre today (Thursday). The T-Hawks will host BOLD Tuesday.
Montevideo 77, ACGC 62
The Thunder Hawks handed the visitng Falcons their first conference loss here Friday.
With a distinct height advantage over ACGC, the T-Hawks dominated the boards got inside for numerous easy baskets in the first half.
That opened the way for Montevideo's three-point shooting in the second half. Montevideo made eight of their nine three-point baskets after intermission — five of them by Jordan Thompson.
Jesse Brace scored 19 of his career-high 32 points in the second half to keep the Falcons at bay.
MACCRAY 51, Monte 48
Carter Asche's three-point basket with 4 seconds to play lifted MACCRAY to a 51-48 non-conference win over Montevideo Monday at Clara City.
Troy Diggins, who led Montevideo in scoring with 15 points, made a pair of free throws with 15 seconds left to tie the game.
Montevideo scored the first 11 points of the second half to erase a four-point halftime deficit.
The T-Hawks played without senior guard Jesse Brace, who is sidelined with a knee injury. Brace is Montevideo's leading scorer, averaging 18 points per game.
