  • The Montevideo swimming and diving team was edged 97-89 by their arch-rivals, Melrose/Sauk Centre last Thursday at Melrose.
    The meet was closely contested throughout, with Melroes/Sauk Centre winning seven of the 12 events to overcome an early Monte­video lead.
    Jack Spaeth won the 200 IM and 100 backstroke for Montevideo. Donovan Al­bers won the diving competition and Tyler Gort took the 100 breaststroke.
    The T-Hawks got off to a quick start, with Collin Christians, Gort, Daylen Mitlyng and Adam Peters winning the 200 medley relay.
    The T-Hawks will have a road meet against Dassel-Cokato/Litchfield today (Thursday).
