  • LeAnn Rimes may be happily married, but the country singer was hardly all smiles on Valentine's Day.
Rimes, 30, filed a lawsuit on Thursday alleging that her dentist's bad dental work damaged her career, Us Weekly reports.
In the papers, Rimes claims her "ability to perform as an artist has been and will continue to be significantly compromised until all re-treatment is complete." In addition to the physical pain she says her dentist caused, Rimes is seeking unspecified damages for "emotional and psychiatric injuries."

Rimes specifically complained about "severe tooth pain, gum inflammation and chronic gum bleeding" that she says came from veneers and crowns she had put in to fight her TMJ-related pain as well as improve her appearance.
In the lawsuit, Rimes says that she underwent nine root canals, as well as bone grafting, physical therapy, a temporary bridge and a "permanent cosmetic deficiency." Because of these procedures, Rimes claims she was forced to cancel several performances. She is seeking monetary compensation for "loss of earnings, and future earning capacity" on top of the damages to cover her physical, emotional and psychiatric injuries.
