Montevideo will take a 13-10 record into the Section 3AA North tournament. The Thunder Hawks are the No. 2 seed in the North and they will host Yellow Medicine East at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
A Montevideo win would send the T-Hawks into the semifinals on Tuesday against the winner of Saturday's game between Redwood Valley and Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop.
BOLD 69, Montevideo 52
The West Central Conference South champion BOLD won their 14th straight game, topping the Thunder Hawks in a free-wheeling game here last Thursday.
Led by their excellent guard trio of Taylor Ebnet, Baylie Kubesh and Carly Sigurdson, the Warriors never trailed, steadily extending their 30-24 halftime lead.
Tia Diggins had 17 points for Montevideo. Ebnet had 17 points, seven assists and six steals for BOLD.
Morris/CA 51, Monte 28
Morris/Chokio-Alberta held the Thunder Hawks to 11 points in the second half and a season-low 28 for the game in Friday's game at Morris.
The Tigers (15-7) had three players score in doub- le figures, led by Katie Holzheimer with 13, while Tia Diggins and Ashley Hoehne had nine each for Montevideo.
Monte 61, Minnewaska 45
The T-Hawks led all the way in beating the Lakers for the second time this season on Tuesday at Minnewaska in the final game of the regular season to gain momentum heading into the section tourney.
Ashley Hoehne had 22 points and Tia Diggins 13 for the T-Hawks, who were sharp at the free-throw line, making 19-for-26. Montevideo shot 50 percent from the field.
