Each year, the Minnesota State High School League and Montevideo High School selects its winners of an award that exemplifies excellence in academics, the arts and athletics.
To be eligible for the Triple A Award, students must be a high school senior, have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher, partipate in MSHSL-sponsored athletics and fine arts activities, and complete an application form.
This year's recipients of the Triple A Award from Montevideo Senior High School are Adam Peters and Froya Olson.
Peters, the son of Mike and Angie Peters, also received the Sub-Region 12 Triple A Award.
Peters, who has a 3.81 GPA, has been a member of the National Honor Society since the 10th grade. He has been active in choir, speech, a musical, swimming, cross country and tennis.
He has earned superior ratings in choral solo and ensemble festivals and he is the president of the senior choir.
