Two news items I thought were worth sharing.

The first is the newest beer being released under the Rogue Farms series, the new Honey Kolsch, which will be released on July 1.

The Honey Kolsch is made from locally Rogue Farms Honeybees in Oregon.

I’ve been complaining lately about Rogue using gimmicks for many of its beers, often for not too positive results.

However,

I overlooked the Rogue Farms series. The beers have been strong, and I think it’s good that Rogue is trying to use the local ingredients available them to create some solid beers and to showcase the local terroir. I’ll definitely support this type of effort from Rogue.

And, if you’re a  fan of low alcohol canned beers, the latest news from Founders is for you.

Today, they announced that its All Day IPA, the 4.7 percent ABV, will be availabe in cans, both in six packs and 12 packs, beginning this summer.fan of local alcohol canned beers, this news from Founders Brewing Company is for you.

“It means people will be able to enjoy our beer at golf courses, marinas and while hiking or camping,’ said co-founder and CEO Mike Stevens. “And we think All Day IPA works in a can particularly well.”
