Tia Mowry, best known for starring in Sister, Sister and The Game, is set to star in the new Nick at Nite comedy Instant Mom, Deadline reports.
The cable network has ordered 13 episodes of the multi-camera comedy, which will first premiere on NickMom and then repeat on Nick at Nite.
Instant Mom centers on young party girl Stephanie (Mowry) who must kiss her single life goodbye when she marries an older man, Charlie (Spin City's Michael Boatman), who has three kids. She slowly grows into a full-time stepmom, but struggles to maintain her former single self. Sheryl Lee Ralph will also star as Stephanie's mom.
"Instant Mom is the perfect addition to our NickMom nighttime comedy block designed to let moms unwind from the day and laugh at the often hilarious experiences of parenthood," Bronwen O'Keefe, the channel's SVP of NickMom, said in a statement. "This show has a fantastic cast and at the center is Tia bringing all her warmth and talent to this funny and relatable character."
Mowry starred on the first five seasons of The Game, but it was announced in May that she and Pooch Hall would not be returning. Mowry also stars in the Style network reality series, Tia & Tamera, with her twin sister Tamera Mowry.
