The eighth-grade Project Lead the Way (PLTW) students are the first to complete the automation and robotics course this year at Montevideo Middle School.
Twenty-four students spent the semester exploring how robots are used in today's world, discovering their impact on society, investigating various mechanisms to determine their purpose and applications, as well as designing, building, wiring, and programming robots to complete a given function.
At one point, the eighth-graders ventured down to the fourth-grade wing to share their discoveries and knowledge with them. They spent time teaching and explaining the engineering
process and ideas behind the robots that they built.
