Lac qui Parle State Park seeks volunteers interested in helping with a variety of summer youth educational programs at the park.
“We are looking for people who love the outdoors and want to share their passion with young people,” explained Park Specialist Cara Greger. Volunteers will assist with fishing, canoeing, archery, nature crafts, outdoor games and more. Equipment and materials will be provided.
Greger said volunteers add depth and interest to park programs by sharing their skills and enthusiasm with visitors. At the same time, volunteers gain valuable experience and build resumes for future employment opportunities.
For specific event dates and activities, or to learn how to sign up as a state park volunteer, call Cara Greger at the Lac qui Parle State Park office, 507-734-4450, ext. 225. She can also be emailed at email@example.com.
