Ken Olson, of Milan, defeated four opponents to win his second straight Montevideo Seniors championship Sunday at The Crossings.
The tournament was for members of The Crossings who are at least age 50.
Olson scored nine-hole, match play wins over Roger Lauritsen, John Clauson and Mark Jaspersen to advance to the finals. Advancing to the championship match from the other bracket, with wins over Glen Moe, Bob Lauritsen and Bill Gordon, was Bill Maass.
After tying the first two (10th and 11th) holes in the finals, Olson took a 2-up lead by winning the par-5 12th and 13th holes. Olson took command of the mach by hitting a sand wedge from about 100 yards to within 2 feet of the cup on the par-4 14th for a gimme birdie.
After both players parred the par-3 15th, Maass got one hole back on the 16th, but Olson wrapped up the match by knocking his drive on the green on the 260-yard, par-4 17th.
