Burnt Powder Festival Oct. 19 The Montevideo Area Chamber of Commerce and the Montevideo Convention & Visitors Bureau is again sponsoring a goose, duck and pheasant hunt. Now called the “Burnt Powder Festival,” the event will be held Saturday, Oct. 19. Cost for gun registration and three meals is $30 per hunter. Extra tickets for the evening banquet are $15. Crosby will be replacing Carol Schutz, and has been working in the department, assessing Montevideo.
