A meeting has been scheduled at the American Legion Post 59 clubrooms in Montevideo for Tuesday, Sept. 10, at 3 p.m.

Sen. Lyle Koenen and Rep. Andrew Falk have said they will be present, and part of the discussion will consist on how to insure bonding funds are provided in the 2014 legislative session.

“We encourage all area veterans and their spouses to attend. We also ask that any National Guard, Army Reserve or active duty personnel in the area attend. We want to show our area elected representatives that there is still a need, and support, for a veterans home. The committee cannot do this by themselves,” said Marv Garbe, chair of the Veterans Home Committee.

A light lunch will be provided by American Legion Post 59.
