  • Organizers of the Annual Meander Opening Night Celebration are seeking volunteers to bring antique and classic cars from the 1930s through the 1950s to be parked on Main Street Granite Falls as part of the "stage" for the Granite Falls Saturday Nights!!! Walking Theater production to be performed on Friday, October 4th.
The play, which is being produced and directed by Ashley Hanson and Andrew Gaylord of PlaceBase Productions, will feature local actors telling stories about the historic buildings and the excitement that enveloped Main Street Granite Falls every Saturday night during the 1940s and 1950s.
In order to add to the atmosphere and set the scene for the play, members of the Granite Falls Riverfront Revitalization (GFRR) are asking for classic car owners who have vehicles from the 1930s, 40s and 50s to bring them down to Main Street Granite Falls by 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 4th and park them so visitors to the Opening Night Celebration can see and admire them as they walk from shop to shop and take part in the walking theater performance.
Anyone interested in participating in the Meander Opening Night Classic Car show is asked to call Ruby Hieb at 320-564-4339.
