  • Craig Enevoldsen, who graduated from the Montevideo High School in 1988, has been promoted to chief of police in Brooklyn Park.

Enevoldsen started in the Brooklyn Park Police Department back in 1991 as a 20 year old rookie. Since then, Enevoldsen has risen steadily through the ranks as a school resource officer, crisis negotiator, patrol sergeant, captain of patrol and most recently, deputy chief and acting chief.

He is a 2005 graduate of the Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command.
“Craig has served our community for more than 22 years. In that time he has earned the respect of his colleagues, both within the department and across the city organization, for his integrity, professionalism and fairness,” said City Manager Jamie Verbrugge, who made the appointment.
