The Montevideo Police Depart­­ment and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension are continuing to investigate the death of a 64-year-old Montevideo man who was found dead in his apartment on Canyon Avenue in Montevideo on Dec. 23.

The body of Thomas Dickson was found by a friend of his at 10:13 p.m. Dickson’s body was sent to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office. Last Wed­nes­day, Christimas Day, officers from the BCA were in Dickson’s apartment gathering possible evidence in the case.

Montevideo Chief of Police Adam Christopher said Dick­son’s death was officially ruled a homicide on Saturday, although the cause of death has not yet been released.
