  •    Chantelle Kurtz, 31, of St. Paul, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2014.             Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 12 at Rock Dell Lutheran Church, rural Belview.  Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11 with a prayer service at 4 pm at the Sunset Funeral Home in Echo and continued one hour prior to the service at the church on Sunday.  Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.  
        Chantelle Crystal Kurtz was born on March 19, 1982 to Bradley Kurtz and Kristi Lecy in Granite Falls.  She was baptized at Rock Dell Lutheran Church in rural Belview and was confirmed at Hope Lutheran Church in Andover. She attended Andover Elementary School and graduated from St. Croix Lutheran High School.  She continued her education receiving a Bachelor degree and later received her Master’s degree from the University of Minnesota.  
        Chantelle lived on a farm near Echo until 1986, then in Andover until 2000 when she moved to St. Paul where she currently resided. She worked as a Registered Dietician for the Minnesota Department of Education.  
        Chantelle was known for her beautiful smile. She loved to spend time on the family farm, going to Lake Amelia, but most importantly just loved to be with her family and friends.
        Chantelle is survived by her mother, Kristi Lecy of Coon Rapids, and her father, Bradley Kurtz of Echo; two brothers, Cory Iskierka of Coon Rapids and Adam Iskierka of Coon Rapids; grandparents, Gayle and Norma Lecy of Echo and Guila Kurtz of Echo; special friend, Joe Warling of Cottage Grove; aunts and uncles, Greg and Becky Lecy of Marshall, Doug and Dawn Lecy of Echo, Steve and Marsha Lecy of Echo, Julie and Jeff Anderson of Deadwood, SD, Dwight and LeAnn Kurtz of Echo, Kevin and Mirta Kurtz of Rosemont, Jeff and Darlene Kurtz of Echo, Quentin Kurtz of Princeton, and Tim Kurtz of Daniel, WY; cousins, Ross Lecy, Andy Lecy, Abbie Lecy, Kirsten (Cameron) Jurgenson, Megan (Garrett) Fratzke, Molly Lecy, Dillon Lecy, Anna (Steve) Risa, Kyle Lecy, Denver Lecy, Tom (Jenessa) Anderson, Tony Anderson, Stacey Anderson, Chad Kurtz, Stefanie (Joel) Sage, Jessica (Travis) Leenerts, Mike (Melanie) Kurtz, Tracy Kurtz, Lindsey Kurtz, and Adam Kurtz, other extended family and friends.
        She was preceded in death by her uncle, Wesley Kurtz.
