  • The Montevideo girls blew the Benson Braves out of the water, 73-27.
    “We played very well offensively,” said head coach De De Epema.  “The girls moved the ball nicely on offense and we were able to get some good shots.  We also pushed the ball down the floor which led to some easy buckets.”
    Defeat LQPV
    “The girls did an excellent job of taking care of the basketball- only four turnovers for the night,” said Epema following her team’s 46-28 win.
    Montevideo did a nice job in their last two games of the season holding their opponents to 28 and 27 points respectively.
    “Offensively the girls did a great job of moving the ball around and finding an open player within the flow of the offense,” noted Epema.  
    “Good effort on the boards - Lexi Quigley had 12 and Jessie Janisch had 7 rebounds to go along with her 4 assists and 3 steals,” she noted.
    Playoffs begin
    The Montevideo girls post season begins this Friday at 7:00 pm in Montevideo against the #7 seed  Pipestone Arrows. The Arrows come in with a 4-20 overall record.
