  • Two arrested in drug bust

  • Last Friday morning, the Montevideo Police Department and the CEE-VI Drug Task Force raided a home located at 123 North Seventh Street in Montevideo, and arrested brothers Jose Ismael Trevino and Oslee Joe Trevino.

  • Last Friday morning, the Montevideo Police Department and the CEE-VI Drug Task Force raided a home located at 123 North Seventh Street in Montevideo, and arrested brothers Jose Ismael Trevino and Oslee Joe Trevino.
    The raid came after the Montevideo Police Department received a tip, and a photo, of drug paraphernalia in the building.
    According to a complaint filed with the Eighth District Court of Minnesota, a garbage pull was conducted by officers with the department, and with an agent from the drug task force, they found four plastic baggies which field tested positive for methamphetamine. They aso found baggies possibly used to store and transport controlled substances, three pieces of a glass smoking device containing white residue, a box for a digital scale, smoking devices and cut piece of tin foil.
    A search warrant was applied for by Agent Travis Peterson with the drug task force, and signed by Judge Donald Spilseth. Shortly before 10 a.m., officers and agents arrived at the residence. When knocking was not answered after 45 seconds, the officers announced themselves and forced entry.
    Inside, Jose Trevino and Oslee Trevino were located, and arrested. According to the complaint, a search turned up four baggies of a green leafy substance, miscellaneous drug paraphernalia including grinder, papers, mast pipes and hookah pipes. Two scales, a pipe and a digital weight were also found.
    Officers also took into evidence electronic devices that can be searched for information. Surveillance cameras were also found at the east and west sides of the residence.
    The green leafy substance recovered tested positive as marijuana, and weighed 377.5 grams.
    Both brothers were charged with possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree, and the possession of drug paraphernalia.
