  • The Thunder Hawks softball team opened up an early lead, plating three runs in the first inning and two in the third.

They had one inning of a mental lapse, early season jitters, and the Sting scored three runs of their own to make it close.

But the Hawks regrouped, huddled up with coach Kyle Goslee and would only give up one additional run en route to an 11-5 drubbing of YME.
Hannah Kuno had two RBIs on four hits to lead the offensive stat sheet for the Hawks.

Kelsey Olson had three RBIs on three hits.

Kiersti Grey was in mid-season form, pitching five strong innings surrendering five runs on nine hits. The Hawks committed two errors.
