  • Montevideo students earn $136,000 in scholarships at annual Scholarship Tea

  • From its humble origins back in 1959 when four scholarships were awarded to Montevideo students at $100 apiece, the annual Montevideo Scholarship Tea has grown to give this year a mark of $136,000 to nearly 80 Montevideo High School seniors.

    In all, since 1959, the total given to Montevideo high school graduates now stands at $2,244,350.
    The largest scholarshihp awarded, the annual Bertha Bonn Memorial Scholarship, this year went to Raelynn Haneca. Haneca, daughter of Ray and Donna Haneca, plans to attend NDSU and study
