  • The Montevideo School Board meeting was held last night.

  • Superintendent Dr. Luther Heller gave his report of summer projects, discussed the superintendent's convention in July, brought up new teaching evaluations, and focus groups being conducted this fall on the effectiveness of Professional Learning Communities.

    Reports were also given from Principal Bergeson in the High School, Principal Shroeder in the Middle School, Principal Sprung at Ramsey Elementary, and Bob Grey with community education.
      A representative from Trane was also present to explain where in the process the Middle School air conditioning project is.   The Board also discussed naming the baseball field after former coach Jeff Gallagher and the need for health education in Middle School.   For much more details on the School Board meeting, pick up the Montevideo American News in print.
