  • At the Montevideo VFW this morning, Montevideo Schools Superintendent Dr. Luther Heller and Craig Lindvahl, Executive Director of Midland Institute for Entrepreneurship spoke with local investors and business owners about participating in next fall's Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities (CEO) program at Montevideo High School.   Lindvahl has been involved in the CEO program since it started in 2008 in Effingham, Ill. In brief, the program gives students real life experience in starting and running a business. Each student starts their own business working under two rules: it has to be a real business and it has to be a stretch.   Students who apply and are accepted for CEO will write business plans, sit down with investors and bankers, hear from dozens of guest speakers, and much more.
