Chippewa County Auditor/Treasurer Jon Clauson has been honored by the Minnesota Association of County Officers with the organization’s 2011 Outstanding Member of the Year award. Clauson, who has been Chippewa County treasurer since 1982 and the county’s auditor/treasurer since 1996, received a plaque “in recognition of distinguished service to your community, county and the Minnesota Association of County Auditors, Treasurers and Finance Officers.” Clauson received the award on Jan. 11 at the Double Tree Hotel in Bloomington. “It was a complete surprise.
