The public is invited to Copper Glen (801 N 13th Street) in Montevideo for a presentation entitled, “Can You Hear Me Now,” by Lisa Hennen and Joanie Robinson from the State of Minnesota Department of Human Services, Thursday, Oct. 8, at 2 p.m.
The presentation will offer information on how to help people with hearing issues and will include demonstrations of equipment used to assist those who can’t hear well. Examples include a device that enables people to see when the phone is ringing with flashing lights, and special telephones that clarify speech allowing persons who don’t hear well to talk on the phone more easily.
Come for yourself or a friend. There is no charge.
Everyone is welcome to stay for the support group meeting at 3 p.m. following the presentation. The event is sponsored by the Caregiver Support Groups. Call (320) 269-6401 or 1-877-450-6401, ext. 1146 for more information.
