The Montevideo Community Center is preparing to host “A Taste of Montevideo,” a festival of foods from the many cultures found in the region.
We are looking for people from the area that are interested in doing a cooking demonstration of a special food from their culture, ethnic background, or faith tradition.
It could be Norwegian lefse, Danish Æbleskiver, German kringla, English yule log, French crepes, Mexican tamales or whatever you would like to make to celebrate and share your heritage.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 14.
For more information contact Diane Ostlie at the Southtown Plaza Community Center, (320) 269-9375.
