There’s a new face at Hardee’s. General Manager Matt Heath came to the Sleepy Eye store in February, after working as Assistant Manager in the Marshall store. “I’ve always worked in food service,” said Heath. “I enjoy serving the customers.”

In fact, Heath said a focus on customer service is his top priority for Hardee’s. “They’re our guests and we want them to feel they are treated like guests,” he said. As any large business entity does periodically, Hardee’s is initiating a “rebranding” process, according to Heath. “We’re focusing on customer service and the food,” he said. “Did you know Hardee’s invented the drive through service and the charbroiled burger?”

Hardee’s in Sleepy Eye will also be getting a makeover next year—part of the rebranding process. “Our customers are number one,” Heath said. “We want to offer a pleasant environment for them and friendly service.”

Heath and his wife, Christi, currently live in rural Ghent, but are looking for a home to rent in the Sleepy Eye area. They plan to move here after her two teenage sons finish school in May. Christi is an experienced Hardee’s cook and will be joining Matt at the store.

Heath is a huge Vikings fan and also enjoys boating, fishing and camping with his family.
