The Chord-Ayres recently took part in a Tee It Up for the Troops fundraiser in Mendota Heights.

The 13th annual Tee It Up for the Troops was held Monday, July 31, at the Mendakota Country Club. Tee It Up for the Troop’s mission is to serve wounded Veterans and their families.

This year alone, early calculations show the event will raise at least $115,000. Over the past 13 years, they have raised more than $1.7 million. Tee It Up for the Troops and its partners have accomplished the following:

• Assisted more than 27,000 military families, saving families more than $44 million in lodging costs, plus food and transportation.

• Provided more than 10,000 wounded service members and their families with year-round, nationwide programs in more than 30 different sports, free of charge.
